Kathina robes offered
 Yangon, 12 Nov - The Ministry for Progress of Border Areas and National Races and Development Affairs held Kathina robes offering ceremony under the patronage of Minister for Progress of Border Areas and National Races and Development Affairs Col Thein Nyunt and wife Daw Kyin Khine at the National Races Development (Tiger) Parahita School on Kamayut Station Road in Hline
Township here this morning.
Vice-Chairman of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddammajotika dhaja Bhaddanta Kesara invested the congregation with the Five Precepts. Then, the minister and his wife offered Kathina robes to Presiding Sayadaw of the monastery Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddammajotika Bhaddanta Pandita and offertories to Bhaddanta Kumara (Magway Sayadaw).
Next, the deputy ministers and officials presented Kathina robes and offertories to members of the Sangha.
Afterwards, Bhaddanta Kumara (Magway Sayadaw) delivered a sermon, followed by sharing of merits gained. After the ceremony,
"soon" was offered to members of the Sangha. |
