General Khin Nyunt attends Kathina robe offering ceremony, cash donating ceremony
Yangon, 17 Nov - The 22nd Kathina robe offering ceremony and cash donating ceremony for Sasana Sitala Dhamma Beikmandawgyi of Nyaungkanaye Sasana Yeiktha was held at the Sasana Yeiktha on Insein Road in Insein Township this morning.
Secretary-1 of the State Peace and Development Council General Khin Nyunt attended the ceremony, offered Kathina robes to the Sayadaws and accepted cash donated by wellwishers.
The ceremony was opened with three-time recitation of Namo Tassa and the Secretary-1 and the congregation received the Eight Precepts from the Nyaungkanaye Sayadaw.
Chairman of Weiyawutsa Association of the Yeiktha U Win Kyi explained the purposes of the ceremony.
Then, the Secretary-1 offered Kathina robes and eight kinds of requisites to Shwebo Sayadaw Bhaddanta Vimalabhivamsa. The ministers and wellwishers also offered robes and offertories to the members of the Sangha.
Afterwards, the ceremony to donate cash for building the Sasana Sitala Dhamma Beikmandawgyi was held.
