Yangon Command holds 13th communal Kathina robes offering ceremony
Yangon, 17 Nov - Yangon Command Headquarters held the 13th communal Kathina robes offering ceremony at Alanpya Pagoda Monastery in Dagon Township this morning.
At first, the congregation took the Five Precepts from Chairman of Yangon Division Sangha Nayaka Committee Maha Saddhamma- jotikadhaja Bhaddanta Kosalla and Sayadaws and members of the Sangha recited Parittas.
Then, Commander Maj-Gen Myint Swe and wife offered Kathina robes and provisions to the Sayadaw and members of the Sangha, and those present donated offertories to members of the Sangha.
Next, Sayadaw Bhaddanta Kosalla delivered a sermon, followed by sharing of merits gained and
"soon" was offered to the Sayadaws.
