Cash and kind donated to MMCWA
Yangon, 2 Nov - A ceremony to donate cash and kind to Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association was held at the association in South-Okkalapa Township this afternoon, attended by Chairperson Prof Daw Kyu Kyu Swe, Vice-Chairperson Dr Daw Khin Win Shwe, executives and wellwishers.
The donations included K 200,000 by Myanmar Asean Women's Friendship Association; K 2 million by Daw Khin Swe Hlaing; K 307,700 by Thiri Thanda film shooting group and Thamada Cinema; K 100,000 by Brig-Gen Sithu Tin Pe (Retd)-Daw Thein Hsaing (Myat Layyon family); K 3 million by Mr Fujita of Myanmar-Japan Mutual Corporation and U Min Min Aung of Silver Wave; K 1 million each by Kappa Int'l Co Ltd and MFF U Soe Myint family; a set of rattan settees worth US $ 500 by U Myint Oo-Daw Leh Leh Htar (Beautiful Island Co Ltd); and 100 dozens of exercise books worth K 80,000 by Htu Kyaw Co Ltd. Vice-Chairperson Dr Daw Khin Win Shwe accepted the donations and presented certificates of honour to the wellwishers. Chairperson Prof Daw Kyu Kyu Swe spoke words of thanks.
