Daw Kyaing Kyaing and party visit ancient cultural buildings in Phnom Penh

 

Yangon, 6 Nov - Daw Kyaing Kyaing, wife of Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council and Prime Minister Senior General Than Shwe; and Dr Daw Khin Win Shwe, Secretary-1 of the State Peace and Development Council General Khin Nyunt; and party, accompanied by wives of the ASEAN Heads of State/Government, paid homage to the ancient Buddha images at Silver Pagoda and Gandakuti Taik in the compound of the Palace in Phnom Penh on 4 November morning.

 

They then visited the traditional costume booth and the ancient cultural artifacts booth in the compound of the Palace.

   

Next, the guests arrived at the National Museum and viewed ancient Buddha images, ancient cultural artifacts and antiques displayed at the museum.

   

The guests enjoyed traditional dances presented by students of the Royal University of Fine Arts at the Chakdomuk Hall in Phnom Penh.

 

Afterwards, Lok Chumteav Bun Rany Hun Sen, wife of Prime Minister for the Royal Government of Cambodia Samdech Hun Sen, hosted a luncheon in honour of the guests at the Hotel Cambodiana.
