YCDC Wut Association holds Waso robes offering ceremony

YANGON, 3 Aug - The Dhammaçakka Wut Association of Yangon City Development Committee held the Waso robes offering ceremony at YCDC Dhammayon on Shwedagon Pagoda Road this morning, attended by YCDC Chairman Mayor U Ko Lay and wife Daw Khin Khin.

Also present were Vice-Chairman of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Bhaddanta Açinnabhivamsa and members of the Sangha, officials and guests.

The mayor and wife and officials donated Waso robes and provisions to members of the Sangha. Joint-Secretary Sayadaw Bhaddanta Jagarabhivamsa delivered a sermon, followed by sharing of merits. After the ceremony, 'soon' was offered to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha.
