Sports Minister inspects construction of Gymnasium, Sports and Physical Education Institute

YANGON, 3 Aug - Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee Minister for Sports Brig-Gen Thura Aye Myint inspected construction of the gymnasium in Kyaukse on 2 August.

The minister gave instructions on timely completion of the construction works with meeting set standard. On arrival at Sports and Physical Education Institute (Mandalay), the minister gave words of encouragement to coaches and soccer teams and presented track suits and K 100,000 to them. Next, the minister inspected construction of lecture halls, the gymnasium and staff quarters. Afterwards, the minister attended semi-final matches of the Second Myanmar Boxing Federation President's Cup C-Class Boxing Tournament at Bahtoo Gymnasium. Altogether 71 boxers from 16 teams are taking part in the tournament from 31 July to date.
