dealer sentenced

April — A combined team comprising members of the local
intelligence unit, Tachilek Anti-Drug Squad and Tachilek Police
Station, acting on information, searched the house of Arwudee in
Tachilek on 24 September 2002.
The authorities
found Law San there and seized 47 stimulant tablets in orange
colour bearing ‘WY’ letters, 200 millilitres of phensedyl, two
arms, one magazine, and 17 rounds of ammunition in his bedroom.
In connection
with the case, the Tachilek Police Station filed Law San, 21,
son of U Li Ta Chan of Tachilek Township under Sections
15/19(A)/21/22(B) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances
Law. After handing over the case to Tachilek District Court, the
court sentenced him 15 years’ imprisonment under Section 19(A).
