Commander inspects
tax-free markets

April — Chairman of Yangon Division Peace and Development
Council Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Myint Swe, inspected
tax-free markets in Yangon this morning and gave necessary
instructions.
First, the
commander and party arrived at the tax-free market on Pantra
road in Dagon Township. Commander of No 3 Military Region Col
Tint Hsan and local authorities welcomed the commander and party
there. Then, the commander inspected the performance of business
in Pantra tax-free market and Hanthawady tax-free market at the
corner of Hanthawady and Kyundaw roads.
Afterwards, the
commander and party proceeded to the tax-free market on
Kyaikkasan Road in Tamway Township. Commander of No 2 Military
Region Brig-Gen Myo Myint and officials welcomed the commander
there. Then, the commander and party inspected the Tamway
tax-free market and Yankin tax-free market. The commander and
party also inspected Mayangon tax-free market in Mayagon
Township and gave instructions on distribution of fresh
vegetables and meat and fish, sanitation tasks of tax-free
markets and maintenance of drainages and platforms in the
