Arrangements for
water supply during Thingyan Festival
Yangon, 7
April — The Engineering Department (Water and Sewerage) of
Yangon City Development Committee has made arrangements for
water supply during Maha Thingyan Festival.
Water will be
supplied round the clock to Tamway, Mingala Taungnyunt,
Pazundaung, Botahtaung, Kyauktada, Pabedan, Latha and Lanmadaw
townships, Yanogn General Hospital and other important regions
from 14 to 16 April.
Similarly, water
will be sup-plied to Ahlon, Kyi-myindine, Bahan and Mayangon
townships twice a day — from 8 to 11 am and from 3 to 6 pm.
Water will be
supplied to Kamayut, Hline, North Oakkalapa, South Oakkalapa,
Thingangyun and Thakayta townships as usual. On the New Year
Day, 17 April, there will be usual supply of water to all the
townships.
During the
festival, water will be supplied free of charge at stations such
as Thingangyun Zawana tube-well, Thumingala tube-well, North
Oakkalapa (Hta) Ward Zabai (2) tube- well, tube-well station at
the corner of Ayeyawun and Shukhintha streets in Thakayta
Township, Kyauktaing tube-well at the corner of Ayeyawun and
Minnanda streets, Ahlon (5) Thittaw Street tube-well in Ahlon
Township, Gwa Market tube-well in Sangyoung Township, Kamayut
Pyi Yeiktha tube-well, tube-well in the compound of Insein
Township Fire Services Department and Yeku water station in
Mayangon Township. For more information, any one may contact
