Extension of Kaba Aye Pagoda
Road inspected Yangon,
17 April - Chairman of Yangon Division Peace and Development Council
Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Myint Swe this evening inspected the
extension of Kaba Aye Pagoda Road to six-lane one at the road section
between the Nawaday Cinema and the 8-mile junction. The commander arrived at
the construction site near the Nawaday Cinema at 3 pm, and he was welcomed
there by Commander of Military Region 1 Col Tun Kyi, Chairman of Yangon West
District Peace and Development Council Lt-Col Maung Maung Shein, and Head of
the Engineering (Roads & Bridges) of the Yangon City Development Committee U
Bo Htay and officials.
The commander inspected the
earth works and concrete-laying works being carried out at the construction
site, and officials conducted him around the site.
At the briefing hall, the
commander heard reports on tasks being implemented and the cooperative
efforts of the staff of the Myanma Electric Power Enterprise and the Myanma
Posts and Telecommunications. Col Tun Kyi then made additional reports.
After hearing the reports,
the commander gave instructions on systematic supervision of officials
concerned and cooperation of departmental officials for timely completion of
the project.
