Commander attends
opening of Dhammaçariya and Abhidhamma Course

April — Chairman of Yangon Division Peace and Development
Council Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Myint Swe and
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office U Pan Aung attended the
ceremony to open summer Dhammaçariya and Abhidhamma Evening
Teachership Training Course at Thadu Pariyatti Monastery at the
corner of Strand Road and Natsin Street in Kyimyindine Township
at noon today.
Commander Maj-Gen
Myint Swe, Minister U Pan Aung and officials accepted K 12.5
million for the training course donated by 97 wellwishers
including K 1.7 million by U Ar Wah-Daw San San Maw; K 1 million
by U Mya Maung-Daw Sein Sein Myint; K 300,000 each by U Than
Win-Daw Nu Nu Lwin; U Aung Myo Than-Ma Aye Thanda; U Naing
Oo-Daw Aye Aye San; U Kyaw Myo Win-Daw Htet Htet Maw; and Upper
Nibban Street ‘soon’ offering association. Altogether 1,200
members of the Sangha are attending the course.
