Measures for
upgrading Yangon City coordinated

April — The work committee for stockpiling equipment held a
meeting at the meeting hall of Yangon Command this afternoon.
Chairman of
Yangon Division Peace and Development Council Commander of
Yangon Command Maj-Gen Myint Swe attended and made a speech on
the occasion. The stockpiling of equipment is a part of Yangon
City upgrading tasks.
First, Commander
Maj-Gen Myint Swe made a speech. He said that the State Peace
and Development Council Office has formed the work committee for
stockpiling necessary equipment to upgrade Yangon City. He urged
members of the work committee to fulfil the requirements of the
works so that, the tasks will be completed before monsoon.
Ministries concerned are also needed to cooperate, he said. And
he urged the committee members to undertake the tasks minimizing
wastage.
Then, Head of
Engineering Department (Road/Bridge) of YCDC U Bo Htay reported
on necessary equipment for extension of the six lane road and
Joint-Secretary U Kyi Win on necessary equipment for keeping
Yangon City clean and pleasant.
Then, those
present reported on tasks of their sectors. The commander gave
necessary instructions and made concluding remarks.
