Work coordinated for
greening environs of Yangon Airport, Hlegu, Mingaladon and Bala
regions

April—The second work coordination meeting on cultivation of
paddy and other crops and livestock breeding for ever greening
of the environs of Yangon International Airport, Hlegu,
Mingaladon and Bala regions was held at the model orchid garden
of Myanma Agriculture Service in Shwenatha Orchid Village, Hlegu
Township, Yangon Division, this morning, with an address by
Chairman of Yangon Division Peace and Development Council
Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Myint Swe.
In his address,
Commander Maj-Gen Myint Swe said that the Government has formed
the supervisory committee for ensuring ever greening of Yangon,
Hlegu and Mingaladon areas and Bala region and livestock
breeding, adding that in accord with the guidance of the Head of
State the departmental officials are to make concerted efforts
for ensuring ever greening of the environs of Yangon
International Airport, Hlegu Township and Mingaladon Township.
He spoke of the
need for those concerned to make relentless efforts for ensuring
full cultivation of monsoon and summer paddy, various kinds of
pulses and beans and other crops, for laying down project to
breed fish in wetlands, for construction of roads and water
supply for farming purpose and river water pumping projects
where there are no dams and reservoirs.
Then, all-round
discussions were held. The meeting ended with the concluding
remarks by Commander Maj-Gen Myint Swe. |
