Union Flag

4 Feb — The trial performance of the Subcommittee for Setting up billboard to
convey the Union Flag and the emblems of states was held today. The Union Flag
is to be relayed in four districts of Yangon Division according to relaying
programme for the 56th Union Flag. Chairman of Subcommittee for Setting up
billboard to convey the Union Flag and the emblem of states Secretary of Yangon
City Development Committee Col Myint Aung viewed the practice session.
In the relaying programme for the Union Flag, the
Flag was relayed from the starting point of the City Hall to Gyobyu playground
representing Yangon North District, Dagon Myothit (South) playground
representing Yangon East District, Thiha Dipa playground in Thanlyin
representing Yangon South District, Salin playground in Kyemyindine representing
Yangon West District and People’s Square and back to the City Hall where the
flag will stop-over for one year. Head of Engineering Department (Building) of
Yangon City Development Commitee U Zaw Win and subcommittee members practised
the relaying of the flag systematically.
