Construction of Kanbawzathadi Palace inspected in Bago
Yangon,
29 Jan — Minister for Culture Maj-Gen Kyi Aung, arrived at the
construction site for King Bayintnaung’s Kanbawzathadi Palace in
Bago this morning. They were welcomed there by Commander of No
77 LID Brig-Gen Than Htay and officials. The minister and party
inspected excavation tasks around the site and gave necessary
instructions to the officials. He also inspected paving of
roads, building of pavements, growing of beautifying plants and
digging of the royal lake. At the briefing hall, he met
officials of the Archaeological Department and the Public Works
and gave instructions.
