117 girl students to enter
nunhood
Yangon, 23 March - A
total of 117 girl students from No 2 Basic Education High School, Latha
Township, entered nunhood temporarily today at Maha Dhamma Beikman in Shwe
Min Wun Sasana Yeiktha in Bahan Township here.
Present on the occasion were
Shwe Min Wun Sasana Yeiktha Monastery Presiding Sayadaw Maha Kamma
Thanacariya Bhaddanta Sobhana, Sayadaws and members of the Sangha, Minister
for Education U Than Aung, No 1 Basic Education Department Director-General
U Tin Nyo, No 3 Basic Education Department Deputy Director-General U Aye
Myint and departmental officials, Headmistress Daw Khin Ohn Myint of Latha
Township No 2 BEHS, teachers, members of the school board of trustees,
members of the parents & teachers association of the school and guests.
Minister for Education U Than
Aung and party presented offertories to the Sayadaws and members of the
Sangha.
