Yangon, 23 March - Minister for Health Dr Kyaw Myint inspected Samalauk Peasant Hospital in Nyaungdon Township this morning.

The minister and party inspected patient ward, greening tasks for the hospital and its environs, out-patient department, Ultrasound Room, X-ray unit, laboratory and dental clinics. Division Health Department Officer Dr Than Aung and officials conducted the minister and party round there. The minister fulfilled the needs.

Similarly, they inspected 200-bed district hospital construction project in Maubin. Managing Director U Ohn Myint of Htut Khaung Development Co Ltd and officials reported on progress of work and measures being taken for the project to them. The minister fulfilled the requirements.

Then, they inspected construction of buildings at the construction site and gave instructions on timely completion of the project and meeting the set standards.

Next, they inspected operation rooms, out-patient department, oral treatment centre, laboratory, blood bank and X-ray room at the hospital and gave instructions on measures to be taken for development of public's knowledge in implementing health educative sector there.

Afterward, they inspected health care tasks for patients, treatment of patients, operation ward, menstrual disorder ward and special treatment rooms round the hospital. Officer of District Health Department Dr Thein Wai and specialists conducted them round there and the minister gave instructions on coordination with regional organizations for raising tasks of hospital and greening tasks.

In his meeting with Dr Thein Wai, specialists and nurses at the hospital, the officer of district health department reported on the strength of staff, measures being taken and needs to the minister.The minister acknowledged that the staff are serving the interest of the State dutifully and gave instructions on making efforts in the interests of the people with goodwill.
