Bangkok-Yangon new air route opened

YANGON, 10 May — Bangkok Airways launched its regular Bangkok-Yangon-Bangkok air route. The launching ceremony of the new air route was held at Yangon International Airport this afternoon.  Brig-Gen Thein Zaw, Maj-Gen Hla Myint Swe and Dr Prasert Prasarttong Osoth formally opened the new Bangkok-Yangon-Bangkok air route.

Heroin, stimulant tablets seized in Laukkai

YANGON, 10 May — A combined team com-prising members of Local Intelligence Unit and Special Anti-Drug Squad, Myanmar Police Force and Shan State (North) Special Region No 1 (Kokang), acting on information, searched the house of Soe Min Tun (a) Yan Kyin Phu of Myothit (East), Laukkai on 2 May and seized him with 5.43 kilos of heroin, 24,780 stimulant tablets.
