Maj-Gen Saw Lwin inspects factories in Indagaw industrial zone

Yangon, 23 May - Minister for Industry-2 Maj-Gen Saw Lwin, accom- panied by Deputy Minister Lt-Col Khin Maung Kyaw and officials, inspected Indagaw Industrial Zone in Bago Division this afternoon. Managing Director of Myanma Automobile and Diesel Engine Industries U Soe Thein reported on production of autoparts for jeeps, TE trucks and purchase of raw materials.  Managing Director of Myanma Agricultural Machinery  Industries Col Myo Tint reported on production of power-tillers in cooperation with private industrialists, and Project Director of Myanma Machine Tool and Electrical Industries U Win Tint on test production of aluminium wires, availability of raw materials and the requirement of aluminium wires  for Myanma Electric Power Enterprise. The minister gave instructions on supply of raw materials, cooperation with private industrialists and quality control of aluminium wires. Director of Myanma Automobile and Diesel Engine Industries U Thwin Myint Maung then reported on teak plantation in the zone. Advisor to Directorate of Myanma Industrial Planning U Than Htut and Managing Director of Myanma Industrial Construction Services U Ye Tun reported on measures undertaken for factory projects. The minister   inspected workshops and factories in the zone.
