Knowledge banks set up in Thantlan Township

Thantlan, 3 Nov - With the aims of disseminating general knowledge to local people, Thantlan Township Information and Public Relations Department has established libraries in the villages in the township.

 Staff of the department made a field trip to Thantlan Village, Hmonlipi Village and Talan Village in the township and opened the libraries and also provided books on general knowledge.

Similarly, with the assistance of Namhkam Township Information and Public Relations Department, local people of PaukTaik Ward in Namhkam in Shan State (North) inaugurated the library on 16 October.

Namhma Township IPRD provided books on general knowledge for the library.

According to the IPRD, a total of 10,239 have been opened on self-reliant basic all over the nation, it is learnt.
