Construction Minister inspects Bridges of Pyapon, Twantay

Yangon, 27 Nov - Minister for Construction Maj-Gen Saw Tun together with Deputy Minister Brig-Gen Myint Thein and officials of the Public Works arrived at the construction project of Pyapon Bridge in Ayeyawady Division this morning.

At the briefing hall, Deputy Superintending Engineer U Khin Maung Se of the Bridge Construction Project Special Group (7) reported on progress of construction of the bridge and future tasks. The minister attended to the needs.

Later, Pyapon District Senior Engineer U Soe Myint reported on completion of road construction and maintaining them. The minister gave necessary instructions on the construction.

The minister and party then inspected the construction site.

Up to now, bored piling of the five piers of the bridge has been completed.

The minister and party then proceeded to the construction project of Twantay Bridge. At the briefing hall, Deputy Superintending Engineer U Kyaw Naing reported on completion of the bridge and future tasks and the minister attended to the needs.

Twantay bridge, which is built across Twantay canal in Yangon Division will link Hlinethaya Township with Twantay Township.
