Road construction projects inspected

YANGON, 27 Nov—Minister for Progress of Border Areas and National Races and Development Affairs Col Thein Nyunt met the executive officer and the engineer in charge and officials of Taikkyi Township Development Affairs Committee in Taikkyi this morning.

The officials reported on progress in constructing rural roads.

The Minister looked into upgrading of Okkan-Sanywa rural road being undertaken by Taikkyi Township DAC, . Later in the morning, the Minister inspected tarring of the 1,200-foot-long road being undertaken by Hmawby Township DAC, and stressed timely completion of the project and provided necessary assistance for the project. At Hlegu Township DAC, the Minister heard reports by the officials on progress of construction of urban and rural roads and future tasks. The Minister discussed measures to be taken for the project.

The Minister also inspected the tarring of Parami Yeiktha 2nd Street, and the sites for construction of more roads in the township.
