academic year, October 23 in 2004 has been designated as School Sanitation Day.
Students of basic education schools in the entire nation under the supervision
of respective teachers and school heads carried out sanitation tasks at school

Furniture Fair-2004 continues
YANGON, 23 Oct — Under the
arrangements of the Ministry of Forestry, the Myanmar Furniture Fair-2004
continued for the second day at the Tatmadaw Convention Hall on U Wisara Road
today. Entrepreneurs at home and from abroad and diplomats visited the fair. A
total of 41 wood-based production companies displayed their products at 154
booths at the fair. The fair will be kept open for departments and entrepreneurs
on 24 October and for public on 25 and 26 October from 10 am to 5 pm daily.

contingent bags 13 gold, 11 silver and two bronze
YANGON, 23 Oct—The 12-member
victorious Myanmar Wushu contingent led by President of Myanmar Wushu Federation
U Khin Maung Lay, together with Manager U Tun Myint and Coach Mr Xu Zhou, which
participated in the First World Traditional Wushu Meet held in the People’s
Republic of China from 18 to 20 October, arrived back here yesterday evening.

YANGON, 23 Oct — More tennis
players from Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Australia and China (Taipei)
to take part in the 1st Myanmar Junior World Ranking Tennis Tournament Grade-5
