Commander and Mayor inspect measures for making city clean and pleasant

YANGON, 23 Oct— Chairman of Yangon Division Peace and Development Council Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Myint Swe and Chairman of Yangon City Development Committee Mayor Brig-Gen Aung Thein Lin inspected measures undertaken for making the city clean and pleasant, proper drainage and sanitation work in the streets, laying of pavements, extension of roads and paving of roads today.

Commander Maj-Gen Myint Swe and Mayor Brig-Gen Aung Thein Lin arrived at the corner of Strand Road and 64th Street in Botataung Township this morning.

They were welcomed there by Commander of Ayeyawady Naval Region Command, Commodore Maw Thein, Commander of No 4 Military Region Col Yan Naing Oo and officials.

The commander and the mayor inspected sanitation work along 64th Street and alleys in Botataung, and Mingala Taungnyunt townships, laying of pavement on ring road of Kandawgyi, construction of the overpass linking Kandawgyi and Yangon Zoological Gardens and sanitation works and laying of the pavement and paving of roads in Bahan, South Okkalapa, Dagon Myothit (South), North Okkalapa, Mayangon and Shwepyitha townships.

They gave instructions on works.
