Myanmar Wushu contingent bags 13 gold, 11 silver and two bronze

YANGON, 23 Oct—The 12-member victorious Myanmar Wushu contingent led by President of Myanmar Wushu Federation U Khin Maung Lay, together with Manager U Tun Myint and Coach Mr Xu Zhou, which participated in the First World Traditional Wushu Meet held in the People’s Republic of China from 18 to 20 October, arrived back here yesterday evening.

They were welcomed back at Yangon International Airport by officials of the Ministry of Sports, members of Board of Leading Patrons of Myanmar Women’s Sports Federation, officials of Myanmar Wushu Federation and their families.

Over 2,700 athletes from 62 countries took part in the meet in which 12 Myanmar athletes won 13 gold, 11 silver and two bronze totaling 26 medals.
