Bagan Open Golf
C’ship continues for third day
YANGON, 23 Oct — The Bagan Open
Golf Championship of the Myanmar Golf Tour 2004, organized by Myanmar
Professional Golfers’ Association and Myanmar Golf Federation, continued at
Bagan Golf Course in Bagan-NyaungU Township, this morning.
Min Naing (Srixon) got
opportunity to secure champion in the golf tour after firing 203 strokes, 13
under per on the third round in the professional golfers division. Former
champion Soe Kyaw Naing (Srixon) put his position behind the leader with 210
strokes, followed by Aung Win (YCDC), Than Naing (Wilson) and Myint Swe sharing
the third place with 215 each.
In the amateur golfers division,
Thein Zaw Myint led the tour with 218 strokes. His runners-up were Naing Naing
Lin with 220 and Than Zaw with 222.
The Bagan Open Golf Championship
is being jointly sponsored by Bagan Hotel Association, Air Mandalay, Tiger Beer,
Bagan Golf resort Hotel, Alpine Purified Drinking Water, KM Golf Centre,
Maruman, Tour Stage, Wilson, Srixon, Grand Slam, Canon, Sun Far Travels & Tours,
Bagan Cybertech and Bagan Resort Golf Club.The fourth and final round of the
tour continues tomorrow.
