Rain in Kachin State, upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Divisions

YANGON, 2 April —The Hydrology and Meteorology Department announced that light rain had been isolated in Kachin State and upper Sagaing Division last two days. During the past 24 hours, light rain or thundershowers have been isolated in upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Divisions, and partly cloudy in Kachin and Rakhine States, Mandalay and Yangon Divisions. The remaining areas were mostly pleasant. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was 0.12 inch in Myeik. Weather is partly cloudy in the south of the Bay of Bengal and generally fair elsewhere of the Bay of Bengal.

Forecast valid on 3 April evening, isolated light rain or thundershowers are possible in Kachin State, Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Divisions. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining area. Degree of certainty is 60 per cent. Outlooks for subsequent two days are possibility of isolated rain or thundershowers in southern part of the country.
