Feb — As a gesture of hailing the 58th Anniversary Union
Day, Thanlwin Bridge (Mawlamyine), the longest and the
largest in Myanmar, was successfully commissioned into
service on a grand scale this morning.
The
ceremony to inaugurate Thanlwin Bridge (Mawlamyine)
linking Mawlamyine, city of Mon State, and Mottama, was
held at the pandal near the bridge on Mawlamyine bank at
8 am today, with greetings extended by Chairman of the
State Peace and Development Council Commander-in-Chief
of Defence Services Senior General Than Shwe.
