Minister looks into development tasks in Hpa-an

YANGON, 12 Jan — Minister for Progress of Border Areas and National Races and Development Affairs Col Thein Nyunt arrived at Hpa-an yesterday and looked over tarring of Anaw-rahta road being implemented by Hpa-an Township Development Affairs Committee and the local people. Commissioner of Kayin State U Maung Maung, Kayin State DAC Director U Thet Hnin Oo and officials reported on measures taken for tarring of the road. Regarding the reports, the minister instructed the officials concerned to make plan to upgrade the roads in the township. The road is 1,800 feet long and 12 feet wide, which was contributed by Kayin State DAC and local people.
