Independence Day Exhibition continues

YANGON, 5 Jan — The 57th Anniversary Independence Day Exhibition organized by the 57th Anniversary Independence Day Information Organizing Sub-committee and the Exhibition Staging Sub-committee continued for the fourth day at the Tatmadaw Convention Hall on U Wisara Road in Dagon Township from morning to this evening.

A total of 3,949 teachers and students of basic education schools, members of the Sangha and people including members of social organizations visited the exhibition.

Booths of ministries — the Ministry for Progress of Border Areas and National Races and Development Affairs, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Industry-1, the Ministry of Industry-2, the Ministry of Electric Power, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control, News and Periodicals Enterprise of the Ministry of Information, Myanma Posts and Telecommunications of the Ministry of Communications, Posts and Telegraphs— were displayed at the exhibition.

The bookstalls of the NPE, Sarpay Beikman and private bookshops sell books and periodicals at reasonable prices. Education Officer U Pe Mann of Kyimyindine Township presented No 2 BEHS of Hline Township in the Computer Quiz of Yangon University of Computer Studies and Teaching Contest with Audio Language Lab of Soft Guide Computer Co.

The exhibition is being kept open free of charge up to 11 January from 9 am to 5 pm daily.
