Convocation of University for Development of National Races held UDNR Trainees urged to serve interest of the State and enhance dignity of the university

YANGON, 6 March—The 14th convocation of University for Development of National Races was held in conjunction with the third teachership diploma conferring ceremony at the convocation hall of the university on 5 March morning.

Tasks of Management Committee for Organizing 58th Anniversary Union Day reviewed

YANGON, 6 March — The meeting to review tasks of the Management Committee for Organizing the 58th Anniversary Union Day was held at Pyithu Hluttaw Building on Pyay Road this afternoon.

Pyidaungsu Hluttaw shall enact required laws if the need arises to do so for the Union territories in connection with matters for which legislative powers are delegated to Region or State Hluttaws or self-administered division or zone leading bodies

Officials urged to make efforts for timely completion of projects

YANGON, 6 March — Minister for Industry-2 Maj-Gen Saw Lwin together with officials concerned went to Multipurpose Diesel Engine Manufacturing Factory Project (Thagaya), Yedashe Township, on 4 March afternoon. YANGON, 6 March — The ceremonies to conclude the JAT teachers No 14 of the University for Development of National Races and assign duties to the graduates of BEd four-year course No 36 were held at the convocation hall of the university on 4 March. Present on the occasion were Rector of the UDNR Col Zaw Min Thein, delegates of the state/division Peace and Development Councils, Pro-Rector (Administration) Lt-Col Nyi Nyi San, Pro-Rector (Academic) Daw Khin Si Si, members of the University Education Committee, departmental heads, faculty members, trainees and their relatives.

YANGON, 5 March — A 13-member Myanmar delegation led by Joint Secretary of Mandalay Division Chambers of Commerce and Industry U Ba Kyi Sein and CEC U Kyaw Min (Sein and Mya Mattress) left here by air this morning to attend the Malaysia Furniture Export Exhibition (MAFEX) in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia and the 22nd ASEAN Furniture Show 2005 in Singapore and to visit Thailand for seeking the market.They were seen off at the airport by officials.

Road construction in Hmawby inspected

YANGON, 6 March– Director-General U Myo Myint of the Development Affairs Department of the Ministry for Progress of Border Areas and National Races and Development Affairs, accompanied by the officials of the department, inspected No 1 district to district road construction in Hmawby Township this morning. When the director-general arrived at No 1 road construction site, he heard the reports on the construction works.
