Minister inspects construction of roads and bridges

YANGON, 26 March — Minister for Construction Maj-Gen Saw Tun, accompanied by officials of Public Works, inspected the repaving tasks being carried out by Tiddim Township Public Works on 19 March.

After inspecting the construction of Tiddim-Reed road section being extended into 40 foot wide one, he attended to the needs of the tasks.

On 21 March, the minister looked into the tarmacking of the road section of Kalay-Gangaw road. On arrival at the construction site near Panmon Creek Bridge, the minister heard reports on the progress of constructing Kalay-Gangaw road section and future work plans and he left necessary instructions. Later, the minister and party inspected Hnanga Creek and Pane Creek Bridge being constructed by Pakokku District Public Works.

The minister and party also inspected the construction tasks of road sections and bridges along Gangaw-Htilin-Kyauktu-Mindat Road.
