YAGNON, 5 June — Shan State (North) War Veterans Organization Preliminary Conference (2005) took place at the town hall of Lashio on 4 June.

260,000 saplings planted in Taikkyi Station

YANGON, 5 June — To mark the World Environment Day which falls on 5 June 2005, the ceremony to plant the saplings was held at the local battalion of Taikkyi station under Yangon Command this morning. It was attended by Chairman of Yangon Division Peace and Development Council Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Myint Swe and wife Daw Khin Thet Htay.

Myanmar commercial delegation leaves for China

YANGON, 5 June — At the invitation of the Government of the People’s Republic of China, the Myanmar delegation led by Minister for Commerce Brig-Gen Tin Naing Thein left here by air this evening to attend the Kunming Trade Fair-2005 to be held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, and discuss bilateral commercial matters.


Myanmar Sepak Takraw team cruises into three-men regu event final
