FM leaves for Qatar
YANGON, 11 June — A Myanmar
delegation led by Minister for Foreign Affairs U Nyan Win left here by air for
Doha, Qatar this evening to attend the Second South Summit of G 77 and the
Foreign Ministers’ meeting of Non-Aligned Movement to be held from 13 to 16 June
2005 in Doha, State of Qatar.
Minister U Nyan Win and party
were seen off at the airport by Mini-ster for Progress of Border Areas and
National Races and Development Affairs Col Thein Nyunt, Minister at the Prime
Minister’s Office Brig-Gen Pyi Sone, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Maung
Myint and responsible official of the ministry.
Minister U Nyan Win is
accompanied by U Myint Soe, Director of Economic Division, International
Organizations and Economic Department and Assistant Director U Win Zayar Tun of
Minister’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. U Kyaw Tint Swe, Permanent
Representative and Second Secretary U Aung Khaing Min of Permanent Mission of
the Union of Myanmar to the United Nations, New York, will also join the
delegation.
