Recreation Zone of Kandawgyi Gardens inaugurated

YANGON, 11 June—The opening of the Recreation Zone of Yangon City Kandawgyi Gardens took place at the pavilion near the zone this morning.

Chairman of the Work Committee for All-round Upgrading of Kandawgyi Gardens and Yangon Zoo Chairman of Yangon Division Peace and Development Council Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Myint Swe, Yangon Vice-Mayor Col Maung Pa and Chairman of Zaygabar Co Ltd Dr Khin Shwe formally opened the zone.

The commander, Deputy Minister for Hotels and Tourism Brig-Gen Aye Myint Kyu and Col Maung Pa inspected the viewing deck, barbecue garden, Fuji Restaurant, playground, gift shop and display of birds.

They also viewed traditional snacks shops, fun fair stage, restaurants, traditional handicraft shops, and traditional costumes and utensils shops. So far, two of the four zones of Kandawgyi Gardens have been opened.
