Commander inspects rubber plantation in Homalin

YANGON, 11 June — Chairman of Sagaing Division Peace and Development Council Commander of North-West Command Maj-Gen Tha Aye together with departmental officials arrived at rubber plantation in Homalin Township on 6 June morning, heard reports on growing rubber and producing latex by the plantation manager and also inspected the plantation.

He then gave necessary instructions to the officials.

The commander proceeded to Nyaungbintha village, met with the rubber growers, heard reports on plans of cultivating rubber by the chairman of township PDC and fulfilled the requirements of the rubber growers.

The commander inspected tea plantation in Sankat village and Santhit tea plant in Hongkham village in Homalin.

The plant produces dried tea ranging from 15,000 to 20,000 viss per year.

Later, the commander also inspected Pyinnya Alin modern library in Homalin Township and fulfilled the requirements.
