Commander inspects tasks for making Yangon City clean and pleasant

YANGON, 11 June — Chairman of Yangon Division Peace and Development Council Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Myint Swe, Vice-Chairman of Yangon City Development Committee Vice-Mayor Col Maung Pa and officials inspected the tasks for making Yangon City clean and pleasant, proper drainage and upgrading of roads today.

The commander, the vice-mayor and party inspected paving of asphalt Kyaikwaing Pagoda Road in Mayangon Township this morning.

They also inspected sanitation works at brokerage in Sawbwagyigon, Insein Township, paving of 11,000 feet Aungchantha gravel road linking No 1 and No 4 Highways in Mingaladon Township, expansion of road to Yangon University of Computer Studies and sanitation works along the entrance to Western Yangon University in Hlinethaya Township. The commander told officials concerned to maintain machinery, and to keep the streets and wards clean.

The commander also attended sapling planting ceremony organized by YCDC on the road to Yangon Western University and planted Nguwa.

Vice-Mayor Col Maung Pa, officials and people planted over 1,000 seinban, nguwa and padauk trees.
