Rakhine State regional development meeting held

YANGON, 11 June — Chairman of Rakhine State Peace and Development Council Commander of Western Command Maj-Gen Khin Maung Myint, together with Brig-Gen Than Tun Aung of Sittway Station and departmental officials, attended the coordination meeting on regional development tasks of Rakhine State Peace and Development Council at U Ottama Hall in Sittway on 7 June morning.

First, the commander gave instructions on efforts to be made for regional development and exceeding the target.

Authorities at different levels and departmental officials reported on their tasks.

On 8 June, the coordination meeting continued. The commander assigned duties of planning to district chairmen of PDCs.

In the afternoon, the commander met with district PDC chairmen, departmental officials and rice and paddy merchants at the office of Rakhine State Peace and Development Council.
