Minister to attend World Health Conf

Yangon, 15 May — Minister for Health Dr Kyaw Myint left for Geneva, Switzerland by air yesterday evening to attend the 58th World Health Conference to be held from 16 to 25 May.

The Myanmar health delegation was seen off at Yangon International Airport by Minister for Finance and Revenue Maj-Gen Hla Tun, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Brig-Gen Pyi Sone, Deputy Minister for Health Dr Mya Oo, directors-general and officials of the departments under the ministry, resident representative of WHO Dr Agostino Borra and relatives.

The health delegation comprised Rector of Institute of Pharmacy (Yangon) Dr Aung Mon, Director of Health Department (Disease Control) Dr Kyaw Nyunt Sein, Deputy Director (Infectious Disease) Dr Soe Lwin Nyein and Deputy Director U Thet Lwin of Foreign Relation Unit of the Ministry of Health.
