Minister inspects railroad construction

Yangon, 15 May — Minister for Rail Transportation Maj-Gen Aung Min and Deputy Minister U Pe Than yesterday inspected Shwenyaung-Namsang railroad and Punchaung-Bankyauk-Htipin railroad.

At the meeting with officials concerned of the project on 13 May, they heard reports on tasks being undertaken and future plans and fulfilled the requirement. Of 27.5 miles of Punchaung-Kaungsai road which is a section of Shwenyaung-Namsang railroad, 23.7 miles have been constructed.
