GUAVA JELLY

8 whole ripe guavas, medium size quartered and boiled till tender. Strain to get 3 cups liquid.

2 cups  sugar

4 cups  water

1 pkt    agar-agar powder, small packet, TELEPHONE Brand

2 whole            limes

Pinch of salt

                        pinch of light pink colouring

 

Preparation

            Boil agar agar, sugar, in 4 cups of water for 10 minutes. Set aside. Stir to room temperature.

            Add guava liquid. Stir and add lime, salt and colouring.

            Transfer to a tray. Keep in refrigerator.

            When the jelly sets, cut into preferred forms, or serve whole.

            For a softer jelly, add another cup of water.
