The
Ministry of Home Affairs is patriotic and modern institution which is established
with the aim of creating stable and modern state with projected main tasks such
as:
Security
Prevalence of Law and Order
Peace and Tranquility
In
the course of implementing the above main tasks, Senior General Than Shwe, Commander
in Chief of the Defence Services gave guideline on January 21, 1999
to Myanmar Police Force, General Administration Department, Bureau of Special
Investigation and Correctional Department all of which are under the Ministry
of Home Affairs to supplement activity of public welfare in addition to four
main tasks.
The
Ministry of Home Affairs is striving and carrying out relentlessly four pioneer
tasks with five efficiencies for the interest of the nation in a position as
the compact and firm institution.
