Thingyan,  Myanmar  Water  Festival
in  Mandalay  2005  for  Peace,  Prosperity  and  Promotion
in  Tourism  with  the  neighbouring  countries 
Cambodia,  Laos,  Thailand,  Viet  Nam,  Yunnan  (China)

 "Myanmar  Thingyan  has  first  developed  in  Myanmar  since  ancient  times.  Although,  there  have  been  different  eras  in  history,  Myanmar  people  have  celebrated  Thingyan  Water  Festival  every  year  in  accordance  with  our  culture,  traditions  and  customs."

Delegations  from  the  five neighbouring  countries  [Cambodia,  Laos,  Thailand,  Viet  Nam  and  Yunnan  (China) ]  attended  the  Opening  Ceremony  and  participated  in  the  Delivery  of  Speeches  Ribbon  cutting,  Float  Procession,  Cultural  Dance  Performances  during  April  13-16,  2005  and  joining  in  at  Thingyan  activities.
