Appeal for blood donors

THE National Blood Bank Centre at Yangon General Hospital has issued a call for donations to help overcome a shortage of supplies.
“We need more blood from volunteer donors,” said Dr Thida Aung, a pathologist at the blood bank.

 
“We are very proud of the fact that Myanmar is the 11th of 192 countries to ratify the convention,” Dr Nyo Nyo Kyaing, the manager of the Health Department’s Tobacco Free Initiative, said last week. (Volume 11 , No.214)
