Temporary Asst. Project Officer,
Universal Child Immunization (NO-B)-11 months
|
UNICEF is seeking to recruit a dynamic, motivated and committed
professional in the field of Immunization to work with us to help
fulfill our mandate to improve the lives of children and women
in Myanmar.
UNICEF is supporting the Government of Myanmar with the National
Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) as well as the Universal
Child Immunization (UCI) Project in the planning, implementation
and assessment of Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus Elimination and
Measles Mortality Reduction activities.
Your role would be:
1. Assist the National EPI program in the implementation of
Supplementary Immunization Activities (SIA).
2. Assist the EPI program in training, production of IEC materials,
distribution of vaccines and supplies, monitoring and supervision,
evaluation, data compilation related to MNTE and measles control
activities.
3. Participate in various types of evaluations to validate the
elimination of disease mortality reduction.
4. Other related assignments to reduce Maternal and Neonatal
Tetanus in townships.
Required end product:
- M.B.B.S; M.P.H. or equivalent degree in Epidemiology;
- Experience in planning, implementation, monitoring and supervision
of EPI projects for a minimum of 5 years;
- Knowledge of EPI management at central, State/Division and township
levels;
- Knowledge on EPI and disease surveillance systems;
- Knowledge on Cold chain and vaccine management;
- Experience in development of IEC materials;
- Excellent inter-personal communication skills and written/spoken
English;
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, EpiInfo, Power Point)
