French movie
-The French film Le Tombeau Des Lucioles will be shown on May 22 at 4pm at Alliance Francaise, 340 Pyay Road, ph 536 900.

Photo exhibition
-Ma Première Expo (My first exposition) by photographer Kyaw Kyaw Win will be held at Alliance Francaise, 340 Pyay Road, ph: 536 900 until May 31.

Charity group
-The International Friendship Group was established in Myanmar in 2001. It organises activities and events for charity and to provide grass-roots assistance in Myanmar. If you are interested in becoming a member, come and join at their monthly meetings on the first Monday of every month at the Dusit Inya Lake Resorts, No:37 Kaba Aye Pagoda Road, ph-662 866 or 662 857. The membership fee is K4000 for locals and K10,000 for foreigners.

Art
-Solo show of artist Phyo Khant Kyaw will be held until June 7 at New Treasure art gallery, No:84/A, Thanlwin Road, Golden Hill Avenue, Golden valley, Bahan township, ph: 526 776.

Yummy
-Dagon Bar at Summit Parkview hotel celebrates Mondays with delicious snacks served from 7:30pm until 10pm. Order one drink and you can enjoy the complimentary buffet snacks prepared by the Summit chef.
-Summer Palace Chinese restaurant at Traders hotel is serving Southeast Asian cuisine. Enjoy a traditional dim sum fare and their new a la carte dishes prepared by Chef Oliver and Chef Hé. The ‘All you can eat’ dim sum lunch is US$9 from Mondays through Saturdays. On Sunday the dim sum lunch buffet is $13.

Mango season
-A variety of mangoes, in a variety of dishes, are available at Dusit Inya Lake hotel’s Orchid Café at No:37, Kaba Aye Pagoda Road, ph: 662 866 and 662 857.
-Their cake of the month is mango mouse cake. A two-pound cake costs $10.
