A YANGON company says a tourism website it launched earlier this month will eventually include the country’s first virtual tours featuring video clips of famous tourist destinations.

“The video clips will enable users to feel as if they are actually visiting the tourist sites,” said Ma Chan Myae Phyu, the marketing manager of the 7Courier web development and advertising company, which launched the www.7courier.com website on June 17 after working on the project for about a year.

Ma Chan Myae Phyu said work on the virtual tour program was continuing and the company hoped to make it available as soon as possible.

As well as featuring the country’s most popular tourist destinations, the website includes a profile of Myanmar as well as travel guides and directories, tour information and travel news, she said.

It also enables potential visitors to make online bookings for air travel and accommodation.
