Myanmar’s exports likely to total $5 billion this year

LAST week the government said Myanmar’s exports could reach US$5 billion in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2006 – up from $2.9 billion in the last fiscal year.

Foreign trade licences to be issued by Trade Council

ALL export and import licences will be issued only by the Trade Council, rather than by the Export and Import Supervisory Committee (EISE) as before, said Brigadier General Tin Naing Thein, the Minister for Commerce.
