Secretary-1 inspects all-round development of Mindhamma Hill in Insein Township

Secretary-1 of the State Peace and Development Council General Khin Nyunt, arrived at Mindhamma Hill in Insein Township, Yangon Division, where Lawka Chantha Abhaya Labha Muni Image is kept, this morning.

First, Secretary-1 General Khin Nyunt paid homage to the Buddha Image. Then, Chairman of the Pagoda Board of Trustees U Shein Aung Bo reported on measures for all-round development of Mindhamma Hill to the Secretary-1 who attended to the needs. Afterwards, the Secretary-1 inspected maintenance of religious edifices on the hill, work being carried out for cleaning and beautifying the hill and maintenance of the retaining wall, and fulfilled the requirements.

After inspecting the construction of the museum, the Secretary-1 and party arrived at the White Elephant House near the hill and inspected taking care of the White Elephants. In-Charge of the team to look after White Elephants Director of Forest Department U Myint Swe reported on health of the elephants and relevant measures, Vice-Mayor Col Maung Pa on feedstuff for the elephants and Yangon Division Superintending Engineer U Nyunt Maung San on construction tasks.
Before leaving the White Elephants House, the Secretary-1 gave necessary instructions to officials.
